Following on from successful events in Halifax, First West Yorkshire is continuing its consultation on New Bus for West Yorkshire (NBfWY) in Kirklees and you are invited to attend.
First West Yorkshire is asking people about their views on NBfWY; a proposal designed to achieve a radical improvement to bus services in the area.
This includes the introduction of new iconic vehicles (similar in concept to the ‘New Routemaster’ used in London), smart ticketing like the Oyster card and infrastructure improvements that would tackle congestion hotspots.
As part of this consultation process, First is displaying a ‘New Routemaster’ bus, along with information explaining the vision for this innovative package of improvements to the public around West Yorkshire to get their feedback.
The bus and staff from First will be available as follows:
- Huddersfield Royal Infirmary - Tuesday 21st October - 9am – 12pm
- Huddersfield Town Centre; Public Library - Monday 27th October - 10am – 4pm
- Huddersfield Town Centre; St Georges Square - Tuesday 28th October - 10am – 4pm
If you would like to come and see us we would be happy to meet you there for a discussion about New Bus for West Yorkshire and any other issues you may wish to raise about bus services in Kirklees.
