Anti-Bullying Week 13th – 17th November:

Anti-Bullying Week shines a spotlight on bullying and encourages everyone to take action against bullying throughout the year. The theme this year is 'All Different, All Equal'

The aims of the week are;

  • Empower people to celebrate what makes them, and others, unique.

  • Help people understand how important it is that everyone feels valued, included in college and able to be themselves - without fear of bullying.

  • Encourage everyone to take individual and collective action to prevent bullying, creating safe environments where people can be themselves.

    Activities taking place on;

    Wednesday 15th November 10am – 2pm the HUB, Dewsbury Centre

    Thursday 16th November 10am – 2pm the Atrium, Waterfront Quarter

  • Launch of a new EDI poster – Together we are Equal, Diverse, and Inclusive.

  • Respect Campaign – Opportunity to review of our call to action (Student reps will be available to ask how students report when respect isn’t taking place? Do they report this? Do they feel safe in college to do so?

  • Pledge wall – make your own anti-bullying pledge.

  • What makes you, you tree - A chance to make positive comments about yourself, a friend or someone you know is being bullied.

  • New online resources available around resilience, and digital resilience (available in PAD, under PAD resources.)
