Student contribution

The college has been incredibly proud of its students’ achievements at all levels and across all curriculum areas over the past three years.

As part of your experience at Kirklees College we know how important it is to provide additional opportunities for you to shine and to celebrate your outstanding achievements to stand out from the crowd as you progress after college. We actively encourage students to take part in activities and skills competitions within the college and at regional and national levels, and have enjoyed great success in recent years.   To maintain this high level of additional student experience, all full time or substantial part time students have to pay an annual £20 student contribution, due to be paid by you by Friday 9 October 2015.

The contribution also supports a range of student benefits including access to work experience and employment opportunities, participation in enterprise and skills competitions, reward and recognition awards and events, ‘KC Volunteers’ where we work with local charities to boost your CV, your enrolment lanyard and card loaded with £5 print credit and access to free wifi.

Information on how the payment can be made can be found on the enclosed leaflet.  Please note that if you are paying tuition fees, either yourself or via a 24 plus Advanced Learning Loan, this additional contribution is included in your tuition fee and therefore no additional payment will be required.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you as a student at Kirklees College for September.  If you have any concerns about paying this fee due to your financial circumstances, please do not worry and contact our financial support team on 0800 8046134 for their assistance.

Yours sincerely
